Getting Smart with: Networking
Networking both online and in person is important for small businesses, this is for various reasons, which I will explain below;

Word of Mouth
This is one of the best forms of advertising, consistently communicating at business networking meetings, will help to get your name out there, which in time will help you to grow your business.
Business Leads
Networking is a great way to generate business leads. Using the contacts you make whilst at networking meetings, can open doors for business opportunities.
Professional communication is important, don't badger people for business; this is a sure way to lose clients.
Increased Confidence
Regular networking and talking to people you don't know at networking meetings will be a big boost for your confidence. Networking is great for people who lack confidence as it is good practice for starting conversations and creating lasting connections.
Where to do it?
There is a wide range of business networking meetings aimed at different business sectors.
Networking events can be terrifying, but they can also be extremly beneficial. There are various events that happen all over the UK, these include;
* Women in Rural Enterprise (WIRE)
* Breakfast for Business (B for B)
* Business Networking International (BNI)
* BIzmums - My personal favourite.
You can also network online too, the best ways to do this is via social media; the most powerful sites being Facebook and Linked In. Consistency is key with social media, but I will go into detail with this in another blog.
I would appreciate it if you could share this blog with all your business owner associates and lets get business owners networking and growing their businesses.
